About the Therapy
Dance therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines movement and dance with psychology and coaching. The technique has been increasingly popular in recent years as dance therapy can be used to help people improve their physical, mental, emotional health, improve mood, reduce stress levels and develop creative skills. It is also thought to have positive effects on brain activity such as provoking positive emotions like happiness and encouraging neural plasticity from the very first session. Dance therapy is also thought to help people who have suffered from trauma.
