Therapy has guided me through some of the most personal and painful experiences of my life. It helped me overcome depression and live with loss. For a long time, I was apprehensive. It wasn't easy stepping out of my comfort zone without knowing what to expect. But because I put it off for so long, it took me that much longer to reap the benefits of opening up. Being reflective and expressing yourself regularly is as important as working out, eating healthy, or getting a good night’s sleep. As Kerry Washington said, “My brain and my heart are really important to me. I don’t know why I wouldn’t seek help to have those things be as healthy as my teeth. I go to the dentist. So why wouldn’t I go to a shrink?”

A bit about my approach to therapy
I am a trained Cognitive Behavioral Therapist but adopt a multidisciplinary approach based on each client’s needs. My goal in therapy is to provide clients with a safe space to explore their feelings and behaviors. I believe we all have our own answers and I support my clients through their journey of exploring and finding their answers.
What you can expect from my first session
In the first session, we connect and build a relationship that is open, comfortable, and free of judgment. As I get to know you, I will ask you questions to understand your goals and why you chose to come to therapy. We will discuss your symptoms, what you want to change in your life, what you want to work on, etc. A crucial part of the first session is discussing expectations. You can ask me any questions you have about therapy and I will walk you through the process.
